"Near as I can tell, Sarah Palin doesn't possess even the slightest bit of ability at self-reflection. She genuinely believes that she can win in 2012 just by doing what she's doing now." - Neil H

"The reason it's not slimy is obvious to anyone with even slight libertarian leanings. Government officials telling citizens "if you have nothing to hide, tell us everything" is creepy proto-fascism. Citizens telling government officials "if you have nothing to hide, tell us everything" is democratic accountability. Citizens should have a presumption of innocence from the government. The government should have a presumption of guilt from its citizens. Don't be fooled by "innocent until proven guilty" coming from the people whose guilt should always be, if not assumed, then seriously considered as a possibility to be guarded against." - Neil H

"The lies will never be put to bed. Everything that the McCain campaign has done so far suggests that they don't care how many times a lie gets exposed as a lie, they will smear the person exposing it as a lie as "in the tank for Obama" and continue to repeat the lie. This next month is going to be so goddamn ugly." - Neil H
