Zee, restaurants are such a rip off on V day. They all work feverishly to push as many people through as possible. Fixed menu and in my opinion, reduced service. Plus all the people make it less than a romantic experience. I belive the better way to go is to either fix your own intimate meal or get several couples together to make it a memorable feast. - Dave Ploch

If you / your partner like meat, or Argentine food, I'd highly recommend Gaucho (in Picadilly and other spots) - the meat is flown in from Argentina and can be cut with a butter knife. La Bouchee, little french restaurant 5min off South Ken tube. Cosy wooden candle light atmosphere, unpretentious yet amazing food, great wine list, good service with a french accent, what else do you need? :) - Mathieu Ayel
