Saw "Snow White & the Huntsman" -- it was loud and stupid, just what the doctor ordered. Honestly, the best part was the Florence + The Machine song playing over the end credits. ("Breath of Life," a wonderful song.) - http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m...

The script was fine (a bit too long). Visually it was stunning. The dwarves were great (especially Hoskins and McShane). Hemsworth wasn't bad. Theron stole the show. The huge problem was Kristen Stewart. I thought she was awful, she really ruined the whole thing. - Stephen Mack #TeamMomo from Bookmarklet
I just don't like Kristen Stewart :-( - Heleninstitches
Bah... I had hoped she had remembered how to act again - Michael W. May from Android
Her mannerisms were wooden and her line reading? Gah. I had no opinion of her previously -- I think this is the first thing I've ever seen her in. - Stephen Mack #TeamMomo from iPhone
She's awful. And yet she keeps getting cast in lead roles. I don't get it. - Hookuh Tinypants
The film student in me says it's because she was in the Twilight flicks which made a billion dollars so it doesn't even matter if she's talented, because there's a built in draw with the people who saw Twilight. The rational person in me says she's awful regardless. - Derrick
I think it's a combination of the two, D. She's not completely useless, but she's not a decent actress by any means. Yet because her wooden portrayal of Bella Swan (an already wooden character on paper to begin with so not a stretch) in the Twilight films, which would have done well regardless of who was in that role, she's considered a big draw and everyone wants to give her a shot. Eventually someone will listen to critics. I hope. *sideeye at Kevin Costner's career* - Hookuh Tinypants
When I go see it this afternoon I'll just try to pretend she's not there :-) - Todd Hoff
Oh boo...I want to see it but she annoys me so much. I had hopes she'd be better in this movie. I saw the first two Twilight movies and couldn't handle how bad they were so refused to watch the rest. - Tamara
I haven't seen the Twilight Series, or anything else that Kristin Stewart has been in, but after seeing her a few times on late night talk shows, I've been left wondering what people see in her. She seems like a rather aloof (and mopey emo) teenager! I don't need to see that in a movie! #SeeEnoughofitinRealLife! - Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
In interviews she strikes me as a young woman who is extremely uncomfortable in her own skin. - Corinne L
I thought Charlize Theron was worse than Stewart. I feel bad saying that cause I love her. - Shevonne from iPhone
@Corinne: I get the same impression. I actually get uncomfy myself just watching her fumble and fidget through conversations. - Hookuh Tinypants
Corinne & Tinypants, Yes, that's what I was trying to say in my own obtuse way... awkward and uncomfortable. All of which makes me a bit sad for her, because I wonder about what that is doing to her psyche. (Perhaps because I can relate to that?) Even making a ton of money doesn't protect one from that (to wit: Lindsay Lohan, Brittany Spears...) - Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
I was thinking the same thing and probably should have said so. As much as I don't like her acting, I do feel for her that she is that uncomfortable with herself. Not to say that I have any greater level of comfort, but I'm also not in the limelight all the time. And I think that's what affects her acting. She had to have a modicum of talent at some point for anyone to pick her up and put her in a noticeable role. So what happened? - Hookuh Tinypants
I still want to see this because IT HAS CHARLIZE THERON IN IT AND SHE IS MY SOOPER SEEKRET CRUSH (don't worry, Wife knows and it amuses her to no end). Also the Thor guy (Wife's favorite eye candy) is in it so she'll go too. - MoTO #TeamMonique
I thought she was good in Adventureland - her overall discomfort fit the character. I also liked her as Joan Jett in The Runaways, but I am a sucker for a rock n roll flick. - Corinne L
Oh this movie is bad. There's just nothing to it. It's heavy handed with any light touch appearing forced an unnatural. Stewart is so bad at her crowning moment at they end they don't even let her talk. She emotes or smolders or whatever she does. The idea of a remake of Snow White is great, but this film isn't. - Todd Hoff
