Nancy Lack, 80-Year-Old Woman, Avoids Charges After Stealing Anti-Obama Signs (Huffington Post, by Nick Wing, Oct. 23, 2012)
From the news article: "Nancy Lack, an 80-year-old Connecticut woman arrested earlier this month after stealing [LaRouche PAC] campaign signs that depicted President Barack Obama as Adolf Hitler, will not face charges after a brief trip to court on Tuesday." - Stephen Mack from Bookmarklet
I was outside the Mt. View post office today on my way to a dentist appointment and saw one of these posters. I was dismayed. I talked briefly to the woman representing LaRouche PAC who was displaying the poster. She urged me to get in touch with reality and impeach Obama. I was deeply offended by the poster and considered destroying it, but I suppose if I had, I would have ended up in court like Ms. Lack. - Stephen Mack
IMO, once you put a Hitler mustache on someone, you've immediately lost the argument. No point in trying to have a reasonable discussion. These crazies show up at my PO too, and I really have to restrain myself to stay calm and move on, trying to just completely ignore them. - Tinfoil 2.0
Good advice, Tinfoil. I regret trying to engage her in a discussion. It put me in a bad mood the rest of the day. Meanwhile, I applaud Ms. Lack's courage; you can hear her discuss her arrest here: http://www.youtube.com/watch... - Stephen Mack
My father used to get LaRouche rags in the mail in the '80s (mostly because my father was interested in fusion technology), so I thought I was pretty familiar with LaRouche's brand of conspiracy theory, but reviewing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... shocked me with just how many more conspiracy theories he advocates that I was unaware of. - Stephen Mack
