- David Cole
So I saw. It was your decision, then, to move on? What's next for the big J?
- Ari Herzog

- daniela barbosa
onwards and upwards. work out a gig that means you can spend more time at home, and less time washing your hands with steriliser!
- James
Good luck to you! And from a selfish point of view I hope your new gig allows for your insights to continue being published. I know I'm not the only one who's learned a lot from your writings.
- Matsis
Everyone will be waiting to hear what the next gig is and all will be following as usual. Your shoes will be hard to fill at Forrester but I know that they know they had quite a guy and will do what needs to be done. Best of Luck to a real professional social media guy!
- courtney benson
looking forward to your next move - Best of luck!
- Bill Sanders

Is it just me or is Twitter totally down? No Fail Whale. No "Page not found" just "HTTP Server Error 503
No available server to handle this request" First time I've seen that!
Yeah. I was thinking the same thing Arleen. It's weird to me because it didn't seem to have any problems and then all of a sudden, "poof". Gone. I'm thinking major equipment failure or big time hack.
- Hal
wash ur mouth out with soap Bailey! don't say that!!! aaaaah!!
- Kimberle Kelly
I'm with you Kimberle BUT Bailey may be right! It's like the whole site just disappeared! That's why we must all cross connect here and in Facebook!
- Arleen Anderson
Twitter's vulnerability issues will only get worse which is why I believe they decided NOT to be a social network platform. Too bad... I have so many friends there. Just grateful for you who are smart enough to be here!
- Arleen Anderson
twitter.com and the api seem to be back up now.
- Bailey McCann
Zalt, what client user app do you use? I tweet via web as they all crash my puter - can't load my... um size
- Arleen Anderson
I got that message too. Haven't been able to find any gossip so far. LOL
- Tara Guertin
back up... but we must get people over here on FF! I made such a post! Who's with me? Trend it? "Connect w/ us on Friend Feed too!" (insert your link)
- Arleen Anderson
Twitter is becoming more and more unstable, and they don't appear to know how to fix the problem. Its up now but I was getting error messages up the wazoo earlier.

Very sad, how young. Ferris Bueller is our most quoted movie.
- Zena Weist
I used the gummy bears line at the end of Ferris Bueller's Day Off to hit on my wife the night we might. Think party, big bowls of gummy bears, three girls and me. Two girls thought I was a freak. One didn't. Guess which one I married? :)

Agree with Charlene that New Marketing Labs should focus on strategy. Brands need more 3rd party experts (trust agents) giving integrated marketing strategic direction that aren't tied to platforms, vendors or apps, forget implementation. Brands have so many agencies they already have doing implementation. Those agencies need to partner with leaders like you for strategic next thinking...

@AaronStrout continues Chris Brogan's Experts in the Industry with @SusanBratton here. Also, listening to the SXSW Community Powered Chris Brogan interview: http://bit.ly/yK928 Key point: What's really going on in this specific locale or on this narrow topic: The secrets of the annotated space. What value do these immediate apps bring - twitter, brightkite, etc.? Threaded conversation that is place or topic based.

The corporation has huge concerns about losing control of their message as they appreciate the significant risk in doing so. The community understands there is no such thing as message control and have proven time and time again the severe impact to companies who get caught in the negative viral channel of social networking sites everywhere. The corporation senses the need for change and transparency but just like many of us who approve comments on our own blogs to protect us from spam, they want to do the same. It is one thing to understand what to do and another to take action on it.
