Zulema ❧ spicy cocoa tart
Audrey and Toby are both very fascinated with insects right now. It's really cute to watch them and know that, for instance, until I pointed it out, they had probably never seen a roly poly before. - Akiva
Zoe is afraid if insects fly close to her but otherwise she's curious enough to go up to them once they land. I know they've seen roly polys too. We also saw a rabbit and got about a foot close to it! - Zulema ❧ spicy cocoa tart from Android
I can't begin to tell you what my niece and nephew do to roly poly's. #nsfw :) - bde from Android
Roly poly? Ours come with jam in! - Heleninstitches
A roly poly is a pill bug: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... - bevedog
My kids usually poke it with a blade of grass or a stick until Joaquin steps on it. =P He likes stepping on bugs I think because that's how his dad kills them. Zoe usually won't step on them but squeals if they get close to her. - Zulema ❧ spicy cocoa tart
I'm trying to teach my kids not to be violent toward bugs. It probably won't last but I'm trying. - Akiva
So definitely no jam then ? - Heleninstitches
I'm not going to lie, a jam roly poly sounds good! :D Akiva, I have forced myself to tone down my hysterical screaming at the sight of bugs. I can at the very least now be in the same room with them. - Zulema ❧ spicy cocoa tart
When it comes to bugs outside, I'm mostly indifferent (I prefer not to be hassled by bees, though). When it comes to bugs inside, roaches get killed; no mercy. Spiders I leave alone or catch and release them outside. The lone ant or two raises an eyebrow (and I catch and release them as well) but an active ant trail gets killed. The only exception to this rule is if a bug gets on me. You get on me, you're going to die. - Akiva
