When you figure it out let me know. We were just talking about this on Twitter a few days ago. It's aggravating.

Yeah, it's annoying to have to approve them, so I generally don't.

There should be an option in that message box that lets you allow images from the particular sender from now on.
- Manny
But I *want* pictures of ice cream in my gmail! Seriously, I have approved every sender and it used to work fine then one day BAM something changed and I have to approve EVERY TIME!

I think the message is something like "Always display images from..."
- Manny
I have clicked that link a million times for each sender but gmail doesn't save that setting
- Zulema ◕ ◡ ◕
Ahhh yeah... OK There are sometimes more than one sender for a particular place. I get it. Damn. That does suck...
- Manny
Yea, it used to work but has gone bonkers over the last week or so. Annoying!
- Sam Grover
Messages or e-newsletters like that have different "senders" (check the "show details" box in the header) When you allow for images to be shown by that sender, it just allows for THAT PARTICULAR SENDER. Not all the other "senders". A little confusing maybe but yes VERY frustrating. Gmail doesnt have an option to turn that off either for security reasons.
- Manny
It's not sender (or newsletter) specific. This is an issue in Gmail which they've known about for nearly a month. Go to Gmail's known issues page (http://sn.im/ihxk5), look for "'Always display images' doesn't stick " and click the report button to add your voice. Lots of discussion at Gmail help forum: http://sn.im/ihxow
